Doing Extra To Receive Extra

Posted on June 6, 2011 at 10:14 AM

This comes from a motto that my parents have always said to me.  "If you do extra, you receive extra".  And after thinking on some things from the past earlier today, they are right.  When you push yourself to the extreme and you give more than your best; you will receive greater rewards.  The concept of this can apply to many young people's life.  My advice in this article will concern the life in and outside of a relationship.

When you do extra outside of a relationship you can get many benefits from doing so.  What I mean is doing things that you do not do on a normal basis for example, maybe doing more around the house without being asked, doing a little more on the job, and maybe helping someone without being suggested.  These actions are sometimes unnoticed by the public, but by God they are not.  Whenever you do something right or extra you are rewarded in some way.  Whether it's by people, or by God.  Everything that is done will be rewarded rather you see what it is or not.  Pushingyourself to do more will take you very far in life.

What about doing extra in a relationship?  That is pretty simple.  Doing extra in a relationship means doing more to please your boyfriend or girlfriend.  Surprises and not freaking out because he/she does something you do not understand is extra.  Taking things to the next level is a great thing to do as well.  That means being 'extra' sweet, 'extra' nice, and 'extra' thoughtful.  Did she run out of nail remover or something?  Bring a bottle of it before you go over there.  Did he break his watch?  Take it by the jewelers and see if they can fix it?  Break a cell phone case?  Get them a new one.  There are tons of things to do to for each other.

Just being thoughtful and doing more will get you more.  I encourage you to do something extra today whatever it may be.  Show someone you care and do great things:) -Seth
